She's here!!!!
Meet my new baby girl! Her name is Courtney, Courtney Canon. I call her CeeCee for short. I really am such a dork about the whole naming my camera thing. Believe I know. I can't help myself though. I'm a freak when it comes to names. I add or remove names from my (future) baby name list daily. So my sweet BEAUtiful friend Courtney, from the fab blog Eric & Courtney, also just got a fancy big girl camera! We were talking & decided to name our cameras after one another. It's official, we kinda love each other! Lol.

You guys. I can't tell you how absolutely thankful & blessed I feel to have this camera. I have wanted one, BADLY wanted one, for over a year. We've just had so many big expenses lately, I knew it wasn't anywhere in the near future. That didn't stop me from praying every day, that some how/SOME way to be able to get one. One day, out of the blue, I received one amazing email. It was from my bloggy pal & now Canon Fairy. To make a super lonnng story shot, she said she knew how much I wanted a slr, & she would be happy to sell me her back up Canon. I was thinking how wonderful that would be, but probably couldn't afford it. When she told me how much she wanted for it, I though she was joking. It was an A-mazing deal! This woman is seriously an angel. She could have gotten a lot more for it. A LOT more. But she helped this mama out, from the goodness of her heart! I adore my Canon Fairy, aka my Bloggy Friend! Please go stop by & say hi for me. She is an wonderful photographer, & has a great blog. Did I mention we live about 30 minutes from each other! How cool is that?! We are going to meet up for lunch soon & maybe even go on a picture walk! I can't wait my friend!
Just as importantly, I wanted to say a quick thank you to my honey. Even though CeeCee was a great deal, it was still a stretch for us right now. Babe, you are the just the best. Thank you for working your cute lil butt off for us every day. You always put Jaxy & I first, & I LOVE the heck out of you. Thank you for my big girl camera hon! I'll make sure to do that "lil thing" you like tonight...? HAHAHaaaa... just joking! Well not really, but ya know. (teee...heheeehe)
My new camera is the Canon Rebel xs.
I know it's just the beginner slr, but it is heavenly to me. I'm having a bit of frustration trying to learn all the different settings. I read the entire manual, watched a million tutorials, & sometimes I'm still like, "huh?!" I'm starting out shooting in AV mode, & hope to move to manual SOMEtime soon! We shall see.

Awwww... my poor old point & shoot, Henry. I feel a little bad just leaving him in the dust. Henry has been a strong sturdy friend to me. Every picture taken on this blog before today was w/ good ole Henry. For a point & shoot he was awesome. Kinda like a good cheap bottle of wine. Does the job, & tastes pretty great! Don't worry Henry, we'll still play, you can just have a much needed rest.
