Paying respects to our beloved Mr Chuck.

It's all still so fresh in our minds, & his gravestone hasn't even been put up yet.

Just about every day Jax still says... "mommy miss chuck."

Every time we walk up the long hill behind our house, & visit his grave, 

we talk to Jax about Mr Chuck being in heaven w/ Jesus. 

He seems to be understanding it all a little more & more.
I couldn't be more thankful my little boy has this daddy to look up to. 
A daddy that is way beyond role model worthy!

In all seriousness. I couldn't be prouder of my big little man. He's doing such a great job w/ potty training, & just getting so big. Gosh. I love that crazy curly hair, those sparkly eyes, those (all boy) bruised legs.

But most of all he has the sweetest kindest heart. 

His little heart of sunshine is what I'm the most proud of.

Wordless Wednesday~ {Waiting for daddy}

Wishing you all a fun day w/ family & friends!

We're gearing up for our annual neighborhood 4th block party.

One of the many wonderful things about living in a small town, in an even smaller neighborhood...

we know all our neighbors & actually like each other!

We all chip in for steaks, burgers & dogs, & bring a side dish.

When it gets dark we all line our lawn chairs in a big circle & put on our own lil firework extravaganza !!

Doesn't get more American than that.

Pretty cool!

I am definitely looking forward to seeing Jaxy's face light up taking in all  the fireworks & sparklers.

AND Super duper excited to put my new tripod to good use & try for some firework shots!!

Now for one cute little monkey waiting for daddy to get home from work last night.
