Wordless Wednesday~ honor, respect, AND one cute silhouette.

Jax & daddy.(& mama)

Paying respects to our beloved Mr Chuck.

It's all still so fresh in our minds, & his gravestone hasn't even been put up yet.

Just about every day Jax still says... "mommy miss chuck."

Every time we walk up the long hill behind our house, & visit his grave, 

we talk to Jax about Mr Chuck being in heaven w/ Jesus. 

He seems to be understanding it all a little more & more.
I couldn't be more thankful my little boy has this daddy to look up to. 
A daddy that is way beyond role model worthy!

My fav/besty shot from this week...

Making wishes.

Sighhhh... when I can capture one of those pure, sweet, genuine moments of seeing the world through a child's eyes... it makes my photography heart sing! This shot isn't perfect, & if you didn't know that was a fluffy dandelion, you would n't know what that fuzzy white blur was. BUT it's not about that. It's the look on that sweet face, in those eyes. In that moment that dandelion is the coolest thing in the whole wide world.

Pretty magical, if you ask me. UG! Love those sweet cheeks!

 I asked my Jaxy Boy what he was wishing for...

Jax- "Bat man car, mommy." 

Mama- "You mean the bat-mobile, Jaxy?"

Jax- "Yes."

Mama- "Cool!"

Lol... he cracks me up on a daily basis!

Missing you friends...

Geesh.

I MISS you my bloggy friends. 

I went from being able to do a post just about every day, keep up & chat w/ all my favorite blogs... TO... maybe post twice a week, if I'm lucky. Where the heck have I been? Well being a mommy, trying to be a great mommy, AND getting my Melanie Ann Photography up & running. It's been a lot of work, but SO worth it! I am loving every single crazy wonderful second of it! Things will all even out here soon, I'll get in a groove w/ my workflow & make this ALL work... I keep on telling myself this. Lol) If I haven't been over to say hi, I will be soon, I promise. Have I told ya'll I miss the crap-o-la out of ya?! I do! Anywhoo.. you know I couldn't end a post w/ out some pictures of my Happy Jax Boy. He is the sunshine I always see when I've had one of "those" days. It's impossible not to be madly inlove w/ that boy. I'll admit I have slightly fallen out of love for about 5-6 minutes after he decided to write all over our newly painted walls w/ my black eyeliner. Yep! We'll save that for next week)

This last week has been so eye opening to me...
I have come to the knowing in my heart that besides being a mommy & loving my sweet family, photography is not only what I LOVE/want to do... it is what I'm doing!
Can you believe I'm actually getting paid to do what I LOVE?!

Wow... time sure fly's when you're having fun...

This has been one crazy, amazing, exhausting, beautiful past week.

Every spare non-mommy moment has gone to editing sessions,

but I am not complaining. 

My heart has never been so happy!

I just need to get in the grove, & get a steady workflow going

BECAUSE I miss the heck out of my bloggy friends.

If I haven't said hi this past week, I will be over to visit soon!
