Adventures in... muddy jeans, & winter sunshine / edit me {week 6}

I had to share these pics! Jaxy & I went on a nice long walk a couple days ago. I was just going to enjoy spending time with my boy, & not be distracted by taking pictures. So I left my new slr, Ceecee, at home. We had such a fun walk, were on our way back home... then I realized I had Henry, my point & shoot, in the stroller. Well, I wasn't go to argue w/ fate...

So we just had to "break in" (walk through the gate) to the neighbors Christmas tree farm...

Why hello there Mr. Tree...
Jax soaking up the winter sun, &  how dang glorious ginormous this tree is!

Jax was able to find one tree I will actually let him climb!
(seriously, how freakn adorbale... ey?!)

As y'all can see...
we really do live out in the country.

My cute lil country bumpkin, also known as Jax.

Mama's little sunshiny boy.
How did I ever get this lucky?

This is how close the train is to our house!
I don't even hear it anymore.

Get ready for some giggles.
Somebody slipped & fell in the mud. Big time!

Hahaaa.... I have the one boy who doesn't like gettn dirty!
His facial expression kill me!

XOXO's for the poor dirty boy.

Well... since we're already D-I-R-T-Y... go ahead monkey-man!!

He found the ONE mud puddle,
AND it was conquered!
Of course he did.
His name is Jax.
Lol.

~Edit Me {week 6} Challenge~

It's now week #6 of Edit Me, & I have had SO much fun with this challenge. I could spend hours editing pictures & be one happy camper! Hahaaa... I do stay up waaay too late many nights editing. It's  my second favorite to taking pictures, of course! This weeks shot was taken by the extremely talented Selena from Stoneyville & Selena Stoney Photography. Can you believe it's her very 1st wedding shoot?! It is a wonderful shot!

edit by me

* I started by flipping the shot around. I just really like the way it looked. Really no other reason than that!
* Played around, upped the exposure a bit, & lowed the contrast, added saturation, & lowered the temp
* Added an Ortan action, I liked a bit of the glowy dreamy feel it gave. Especially to this shot!
* Added a natural airbrush effect to her back
* Played around w/ the levels a bit, & lightened it up.
* Unsharp masked, rounded the corners, & added water mark. Whaaaala!

I did all of this using Picnik. Some people make fun of it, that is really can't give you a great outcome. I disagree! It is NOT photo shop, but is a great option for a beginner like me, or someone who can't yet afford PS. I'm having fun w/ all the Picnik premium features before Picnik closes down this April.

Hope you guys liked it! Can't wait to see all the other edits!!

It cracks me up that he hates getting dirty! Eva always finds the one and only puddle... And laughs mean she is a mess.

That edited is a beauty.

Love the little muddy boy my friend...this looks like a day you guys will both remember forever...there's nothing wrong with a little mud once in a while if it brings a smile to little Jaxy's face!
